Fall Nail Pinspiration

Happy Fall! I definitely am ready for it this year- it has been so hot and muggy here!

To continue my seasonal nail pinspiration (I previously have done Spring and Summer), it's time now for Fall!
(As always, clicking on the picture will take you directly to the pin, so you can pin them to your own boards.)

 photo FallNailPinspiration_zpsd8784522.jpg

This is really cute, and the pin has 18 other really cute ideas!

 photo FallNailPinspiration2_zps71430784.jpg

You can't go wrong with some cute pumpkins in the fall!

 photo FallNailPinspiration3_zps1249f104.jpg

The only design that wasn't really Fall Holiday-centric, and I just love that deep olive color.

And here's a collection of some more!

Lorac Pro 2 Pinspiration

I've had my Lorac Pro 2 Palette a little over a month now, and obviously I turned to pinterest to get ideas on how to utilize this palettes full potential!

(As always, clicking on the photo will take you directly to the pin so that you can pin it to your own boards! All credit of photos is to the blog owner- please visit their pages!)

 photo LP2pNatural_zps8f0a53ae.jpg

This is a really gorgeous look, definitely more natural and office appropriate.

 photo LP2pPictorial_zps49a294cc.jpg

I love how it's all laid out for you! I would probably tone this down a little and blend it up a bit (since I have hooded eyelids), but I love the colors that are put together here.

 photo LP2pPlumampNavySmokeyEye_zps9fa66cb8.jpg

And finally, THAT BLUE. It's a huge reason why I got this palette, and this tutorial shows the proper way to utilize it for a smokey eye.

Summer Nail Pinspiration

Happy Summer, everyone! The first day of summer is coming this Saturday! I don't know if it's hot where you live, but it has been super hot here recently (we got up to 108 during the first week of June!). So I'm definitely feeling all things summer, and ready to get some summer shades on my nails.

Here are some of my favorite Summer-inspired nail designs from Pinterest.
(Clicking on the photos will take you directly to the pin so you can pin it to your own boards. All photos are credited to the appropriate blog, which you can reach by clicking on the pin from pinterest.)

 photo hotpinandbluepolkadots_zps08feef91.jpg

I love this! It's simple but that neon just screams summer!

 photo ombresummeroldschoolairbrushshirt_zps291daf90.jpg
Does this remind anyone else of those airbrush t shirts they sold in the early 90s? If I could figure out how to do a proper ombre nail, I would definitely do something like this!

 photo funkybluepink_zps1cc558ec.jpg
This also screams 90s to me, but in the best way possible. And I just LOVE that blue.

There are so many other great options for summer nails, but these were my favorite while browsing through pinterest. I can't wait to break out my neon colors!

Pinspiration: Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

When I purchased my Urban Decay Naked 2, it was after I bought the Urban Decay Naked 3, so I thought about it for a long time. I wasn't sure how the colors would be on me, but after hearing my sis-in-law say it was basically her favorite, and really researching swatches for girls that have similar coloring, I ultimately decided to complete my Naked Palette collection and pick it up.

 photo easyneutraleyesfromnaked2_zpscf52028b.jpg

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with The Small Things Blog, but I discovered her through pinterest and have been following her ever since. She has the BEST tips for hair and makeup, and her photo above is probably what pushed me over the edge of getting the Naked 2.

 photo naked2makeupgeek_zps9605d5e1.jpg

And this photo is just beautiful- this is like VS model eyemakeup!

 photo allthenakedpalettes_zps55043b66.jpg

And this is a fun way to use them all together! I actually love the way the combos look vertically together as well!

This has made me want to get out my Naked 2 palette again to play! Guess you might see that in next month's WIMMB post!

Pinspiration: Spring Nail Ideas

Happy First Day of Spring!
I'm not usually one for "theming" my nails to a particular season, but pinterest has me "pinspired" to give some of these nail looks a try!
(Clicking on the photos will take you directly to the pin so you can pin it to your own boards. All photos are credited to the appropriate blog, which you can reach by clicking on the pin from pinterest.)

 photo springnails_zpsb6593b1e.jpg

Ahh! So Cute! I wish I was talented enough to do nail art like this- maybe I could give the polka dots a try!

 photo springnails2_zps69c40140.jpg

Also so super cute! To me, yellow nail polish just screams Spring (and Summer, too)!

 photo springnails3_zpsa88253b8.jpg

I think this would be so super cute for a Spring wedding as a guest, or a bridal or baby shower.

 photo springnails4_zpsb6593b1e.jpg

I did a variation on this last year around Easter, and got a lot of compliments! To me, it's just the perfect, pastel nod to Spring!

Obviously you can wear whatever polish you want, and I rock a dark nail in Spring as quick as I rock a bright nail in the Winter. But there really is just something about a cute, pastel nail in the Spring!

Pinspiration: Superbowl Nail Ideas

I am a huge football fan. So it should come as no surprise that I love the Superbowl. Not just because the commercials are great (though they are), and not just because Bruno Mars is performing this year (though I do love him!), but because I love the game. I grew up watching football with my grandmother, and it's a tradition I still enjoy with her today. From September to February, we are together almost every single weekend.

One of my favorite things about the Superbowl is how into it everyone I know gets. It's exciting, especially when you are invested in a team. And I'm the kind of girl that tends to go all out- team colors from my eyelids down to my fingertips. And this year is especially exciting, because my favorite team, the Seattle Seahawks, are going to the Superbowl!!!

Here are some fun nail ideas I found on Pinterest for both the Seahawks and the Denver Broncos.
(As always with these Pinspiration posts, if you click on the picture, it will take you directly to the pin to repin. These photos are not mine, and I do not claim to have credit over them. Please visit the blogs that are pinned directly!)

 photo seahawksnails_zps8e73d090.jpg

Holy Wow! I really wish I could do this. Maybe with enough patience I could do something similar on my left hand, but there is no way I could do it on my right!

 photo broncosnails_zps75f32e0c.jpg

This is a really cute and simple idea for Broncos nails. You could also swap out the blue and orange for a different blue and green and have really simple Seahawks nails!

 photo seahawksnails2_zps60ca35b5.jpg

This is another one that you could definitely swap out the colors on. I love the simplicity, and the little football. So cute!

I have quite a few more ideas posted on my Beauty Pinterest board. I usually post these on there while I'm working on the post, so be sure to check out that board to see things first!

Have a good Superbowl Sunday everyone! Go Seahawks!!!

Pinspiration: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Since receiving the Naked 3 Palette, I've had a lot of fun coming up with ways to wear it. And I've been utilizing Pinterest to come up with new ideas!
Here are some of my favorite I've run across!

(Clicking on the link will take you directly to the pin so that you can repin to your own boards. Please visit the blogs of the people you pin- it means a lot to us bloggers to see that people enjoy what we do!)

 photo naked3pin_zpsd3c7b4de.jpg

I really love how soft and sultry this is.  And it's the only way I've been able to get Blackheart to work for me and not look like I got socked in the face, so that's always a good thing!

 photo naked3pin_2_zps9497b30f.jpg

I haven't tried this look yet (I'm still a tad too afraid of Blackheart), but I plan on at least trying it out soon on a day when I'm okay with taking my makeup off right away (as in, not a work day). I really like the combination of colors used.

 photo naked3pin_3_zpsf43563e0.jpg

This has basically been my go-to, every day look since discovering this pin. The combo of colors is perfect, but still soft enough for my day job. I love it!

I really love the Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay, and I highly recommend it if you haven't already purchased it. It is well worth the price for the quality and amount of product you are getting, and I definitely would consider repurchasing if anything was to happen. This is a solid runner up to the Lorac Pro as my favorite palette!

Pinspiration: Simple but pretty nail art

I'm sure you all have noticed by now that I love nail polish. I also love nail art. But I am not any kind of artist, and cannot do any kind of nail art at all! So when I look at some of the nail art on pinterest, I typically pin the ones I think I might actually be able to do!
(Of course, if you go on my Beauty pin board, you'll see complex ones, too, but I don't actually think I can do those. I just think they are pretty!)

I have been doing plain nails for too long- I think it's time to try some new stuff! Here are some designs I found on pinterest that I think even I can manage!
(As always, if you click on the picture, it will take you to the pin so you can pin it to your boards. And please visit the blogs the pins come from- support other bloggers!)

 photo polkaheartsnailart_zps81d0274f.jpg

This is cute and seems simple enough! I know to make hearts you basically make three dots and then connect them.

 photo footballseasonnails_zps82d10f6f.jpg

With football season coming up, I can definitely see myself attempting this! I even have a white line polish I can use!

 photo strawcirclenails_zpsb2bfaa1c.jpg

Nail art. With a straw. It doesn't get much more simple than that!

 photo alternatingpolkadotcolornails_zps9ba2707f.jpg

This also seems simple enough- just alternate the base and the dot colors!

 photo fishtailnailart_zpsb83b2046.jpg

A step-by-step guide! I don't even think I can mess this one up!

Hope you all found some inspiration from the above photos! I'm off to paint my nails!!

Pinspiration: Pretty Eye Looks

I love doing my eye makeup. It is my favorite part of doing my makeup, and what I spend the majority of my time on.

One of the things I love doing most on pinterest is just browsing all the beautiful eye shadow looks, drawing inspiration from them about ways to do makeup in my every day life. If I have an event coming up, I try to search by the type of event (wedding, party, girl's night, etc), or I frequently look at "professional" wear.

Here are some of the best looks I have seen lately.
(As always, clicking on the picture will direct you to the pin.)

 photo smokeyeyewithgoldshadowpin_zpsbb778f49.jpg

I love this look so much, I just think it's perfect for a fun night out, and the way the shimmer catches the light is just beautiful.

 photo simpleeye_zpsc8dbb25b.jpg

This is so simple but so gorgeous. I have worn my makeup this way (with a different color), and received so many compliments. It is especially flattering for those of us that wear glasses.

 photo makeupgeekpeachandblueeye_zpsc7b9a9a6.jpg

I love the color combo of this look. I'm a huge fan of blue and green eyeshadows (they're definitely my go to  shades when I'm looking to play around with color), and I think the addition of the soft yellow and orange make the look pop.

 photo greysmokeyeye_zpsf785b4e1.jpg

A pretty grey smokey eye. Much more subtle than black, and, for me at least, a much more flattering option.

 photo mmimspiredeye_zps6664d7cc.jpg

I think this is just really classic and beautiful, and perfect for every day. Especially in a professional setting.

 photo purplesparklyeye_zpsdec82daf.jpg

And, finally, this beautiful purple look. I love this, especially for my green eyes- they just pop when I use purple.

I hope this is helpful to those of you looking for a little inspiration to shake up your eye makeup looks! I know I already have all of the colors I need to attempt to recreate all of the looks, and I can't wait to try!

Pinspiration: Urban Decay Naked Palette

I really love my Urban Decay Naked Palette, and I love finding new ways to use it! Fortunately for me, there is an abundance of great tutorials out there, all with different looks. Here are a few of my favorites!

(as always, if you click the pictures, it will direct you to the pin in question to add to your own boards!)

The first look is actually from the Urban Decay website, and I think it's so pretty!

 photo urbandecaynakedpalette1_zpsf9ee9685.png

I've done this look a few times, and have received compliments on it every time. It's so pretty and easy to wear.

Another look I've done quite a few times is this one- It's a little darker for a day look, but I've rocked it in my office.

 photo urbandecaynakedpalette2_zps21fb5583.jpg

I think this would be pretty on just about anyone, and is very complimentary to any eye color, due to all the different colors that are used. And even though I've worn it for day, I think it would look incredible for a night out with the girls!

The third look is definitely more of a natural look, and you can tell a light hand was used, especially with the Darkhorse color.

 photo urbandecaynakedpalette3_zpsda8b9a56.jpg

As a side comment, LOOK AT THOSE LASHES. Cannot get over them. Not sure what this girl used (it's just a picture pin), but I need it in my life.

And last but not least, one of my favorite beauty gurus with a tutorial of how to take this palette from day-to-night!

Emily's videos are always so informative, and I really think this is so helpful to those of us that work in an office during the day, but like to dress it up a little more at night- that way you don't have to completely remove everything you've already done!

I hope this was helpful to all of you, and has given some of you ideas about how to better use the Naked Palette!

You can pick up the Naked Palette by Urban Decay at Sephora, Ulta, and urbandecay.com. It's probably the palette I use the most, and I highly recommend it. It is definitely worth the high price tag!

Pinspiration: Lorac Pro Palette

To follow up on yesterday's post, I thought it would be fun to post some great looks I've seen on Pinterest using the Lorac Pro Palette.

First up is this amazing look by Rachel Whitehurst.

Her look, which you can read more about on her blog post here, is a beautiful Smokey Eye using the shades Mauve, Pewter, Deep Purple, and Cream.

As a side note, thanks to this pin I discovered Rachel Whitehurst's blog and I am now obsessed. Thank You, pinterest!

The next look is a day-to-night look, that I found two separate pins for.

I really, really like the night look, and it might make me try the gold shade a little more! I'm a little scared of gold eyeshadows, but it's always nice to try something a little different!

I love when bloggers go out of their way to do something like this! A pin and tutorial without extra clicks!

And, lastly, the most amazing pin I have ever seen.

I know what you are thinking. You're thinking "Ashley, this is not 'the most amazing pin that I'VE ever seen.' " Well, sure. But then, you click on it, and you see the most amazing, gorgeous series of photos with looks from the Lorac Palette on this imgur page. And she includes complete descriptions on how to achieve the looks! I have a feeling the next time I break out this palette, I will have this page open on my phone!

You can purchase your Lorac Pro Palette at Ulta, Sephora, and the Lorac website for $48.00.

Pinspiration: Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

I received the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette as a birthday gift from my sister-in-law, Jenna. It wasn't something I planned on buying myself, but when she asked my opinion on getting either this one or the Naked 2, I told her I would probably get the Naked Basics. Of course I didn't realize she was literally asking what I wanted for my birthday, but it has definitely worked out.

However, I quickly realized there's not a lot I can do with it, and only it (meaning: without other palettes). It's a bunch of matte shadows, and I'm definitely a shimmer girl. So I turned to Pinterest for inspiration, and this is what I found!

(All photos direct to the pin if clicked.)

This is a really beautiful, simple look, that I think would be really flattering for day, for work, but could also be a great nighttime look!

Another very beautiful day time look. I think the Walk of Shame (or WOS) shade is probably my favorite of the bunch, and definitely the one I use the most often on my lid.

The final and most dramatic look. This is definitely a way to use this palette for a night out!

You can get the Urban Decay Naked Basics at Sephora, Ulta, and urbandecay.com for $27.00.
