Neutrogena Triple Repair Hair Care System Review

Neutrogena Triple Repair Hair Care System

(This system was provided to me by BzzAgent in exchange for an honest review.)

I am currently taking part in a BzzAgent Campaign for the Neutrogena Triple Repair Hair Care System. This system includes a Shampoo, a Conditioner, and a Leave-In Treatment. The claim for the Shampoo and Conditioner is that it mends 97% of split ends with just one use. The claim for the Leave-In Treatment is that it reduces breakage by 80%, leaving hair stronger, smoother, and more nourished. It also states it protects against heat styling up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Initial Impressions of the Complete System: The first time I used this complete system, I was underwhelmed. The Shampoo was alright, the Conditioner seemed to work well, and the Leave-In Treatment seemed to make my hair soft, even after blow drying, but my hair was so greasy by mid-day! I was actually thinking about finding a store close to my work to buy a tiny bottle of baby powder, that's how bad it was!
I used it again a couple of days later, and my hair seemed a lot better. I also curled my hair, and the curl held well, my hair remained soft and untangled, and I did not notice the excess greasiness that I experienced the first time I used this system.
As far as the claims are concerned, I did feel like my ends were okay, but I lost a lot more hair than I have been when using my Tresemme Platinum Strength Shampoo and Conditioner. The Leave-In Treatment definitely made my hair feel nourished, and after use, I didn't notice any more hair loss (even when I curled my hair and brushed it out a bit later in the day). That is not typical for me- I have very long, fine hair, so I pretty much leave it wherever I go. This was a nice surprise.

Just the Shampoo and Conditioner: I was a little nervous to do so, but decided to try out just the Shampoo and Conditioner, with no extra leave ins or oils after my shower. And let me say, I LOVED the results. I usually let my hair air dry for about 20-30 minutes (depending on how long after a shower it takes me to lotion and put my makeup on) prior to blow drying. I didn't use a heat protectant or anything, which leaves my hair looking like a huge poof, and then I need to straighten it to get it flat again (if I have time- usually it just does what it does because I don't leave myself time for that step). However, that didn't happen after I completed the drying process on my hair when using just the shampoo and conditioner- my hair already looked like I had straightened it, but it still had that bit of volume that comes with blow drying. Overall, I enjoyed the results of this first experiment. So I had to try it again! And again, received the same results!

Just the Leave-In Treatment: I decided to use this in combination with a few different shampoos and conditioners I have (The Tresemme one mentioned above, the Not Your Mother's one I reviewed here, as well as the Dove Shampoo and Conditioner I received in my New Beauty Test Tube from November 2013), and overall, the product is pretty good. It still leaves my hair feeling nourished, it didn't react weird with any of the other brands, and made my hair soft and easy to manage. I did have a bit of grease mid day with the Tresemme shampoo and conditioner, but with the Not Your Mother's, my hair felt great and looked clean until late evening. I definitely found a great combination for the future!

Final Impressions: After using this for almost a month, on and off, I've been loving the results! On the days I use the three products together, my hair looks and feels amazing. I haven't noticed my hair color fading at all, and I do feel like it has helped to restore some damage. I feel like the leave in has helped protect my hair from heat damage. As far as the split ends claim goes, I got my hair trimmed about 2 inches in the midst of using this product, so I can't attest to that claim. But even my hair girl commented that my hair felt a lot more healthy than it has felt the last couple of times she's cut my hair, and I definitely attribute that to using this.
I am already thinking about repurchasing the complete system- and have coupons from BzzAgent so that I can do so! I highly recommend if you have damaged hair, you check out this system. It's inexpensive (all three are $6.99), and you can see results within a few uses.

Foreo Luna Mini Review

(I received this product at a discount from BzzAgent and Foreo to review.)

I've had about a month to really use and get to know the Foreo Luna Mini, and I have to say, I am beyond in love with it!

(I took this photo when I traveled with the device. It is so portable!)

As I said in my original post, I've never used any other kind of skin care brush (like the most popular, the Clarisonic), but I've heard it's harsh for sensitive skin. This is not harsh at all. I haven't had any kind of irritation- it just feels good! It does make my face a little numb right after use, but nothing concerning.

So far, I have not had to recharge my device yet. I've probably used it over 30 times since receiving it (I have used it at night and turned around and used it the next morning- I love it that much!), and after every use, I just feel like my skin is so clean.

I feel like it's changed the way my skin looks- when I look in the mirror, my skin actually looks healthy and not dull. I've found myself going without my BB or CC creams on occasion because I feel like I don't need that extra coverage. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that this gets my skin completely cleared out of any left over makeup, so it allows my skin to breathe and get healthy.

From the photo above, you can see that I traveled with it, and it took up no room at all. It just fit right inside a bag I keep my skin care and toothbrush in. It didn't turn itself on randomly.

I really like the exfoliating side- it's been great at helping me get rid of the little bits of dry skin that are popping up now that it's getting cold.

Overall, I highly recommend at least giving this product a try, especially if you're already in the market for a facial brush. It's less expensive than the Clarisonic when you factor in replacement brushes. And I've never had an issue with it! It's also antimicrobial, and you can clean it with a gentle soap and water. So long as you take care of it, this won't be something you have to replace at all!

The standard price of the Foreo Luna Mini is $139.00, however, Foreo and BzzAgent have provided me with an offer code good for 35% off regular price (which would bring this down around $90.00). If you'd be interested in the code, please comment below with your e-mail and I will be happy to pass it on! This promo code is no longer available. Thank You for all the interest!

Please feel free to ask any questions below if I didn't address them above, and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge.

Thanks for reading!

Foreo Luna Mini First Impressions/Review

(This product was provided at a discount by BzzAgent and Foreo.)

I've been a BzzAgent since 2007, and have been able to try a lot of great stuff. This, however, is by far my favorite!
I received an offer to get the Foreo Luna Mini at a discounted price, and I could not resist! I've been thinking about investing in a facial cleansing device for awhile, and this was one that was on my list to research.

The mini has a 3-zone brush- two of which you can see in the photo above. This side is used for two purposes- general cleansing (the larger part), and under the eyes and around the nose (the smaller part). The device also has two settings in which you can use to clean your face, which are high-intensity and low-intensity. When you turn on the device, it is already in high-intensity. It is recommended you use this to cleanse your face moving from zone to zone (start on your chin, then wait for the device to pause, move in upward strokes along your cheeks, the device will pause, do the other side, the device will pause, and then do your forehead).

You can also use this side for deeper exfoliation, mainly on your t-zone. Then you go to lower-intensity, and using the smaller portion, cleanse under your eyes.

My Luna mini came with the device, a USB cord for charging (you can see the port in the second photo), and a warranty card. I was able to use the device right out of the box, however, they recommend you charge it first.

(Size Comparison)

The device is 100% waterproof up to a depth of 1 meter, so you can also use it in the shower, which is awesome for someone like me that washes their face during their morning shower routine. I just put my cleanser on my face, wet the device, and away I go. It is not recommended to use this with any type of exfoliating or clay-based cleansers, so I have been using the Neutrogena cleanser I received in my Allure Fall Beauty Box when I want to use this.

I have been loving the results- I've used this four times since receiving it, and my face feels almost unbelievably smooth. And I feel like it's really getting deep down into my pores and getting all the gunk out from the day. I also love that it is so compact, and it would definitely be travel friendly! They also claim you can use it up to 300 times on a full charge!
The device is made with a silicone brush that is nonporous, so you do not have to replace the brushes! (They just advise you clean with a mild soap and water after use). I was thinking for so long about getting the Clarisonic, but the expense of having to replace the brushes was definitely holding me back. Now, that is a non-issue, because I have a T-Sonic device that will never need to have the brush replaced! HUGE WIN!

I am planning on doing a more in-depth review next month, once I actually have time to really use it regularly and see more results, but so far, I am really happy!
